Jamie is a final year MChem student on the integrated masters course at the University of Leeds. James has just come back from his year in industry placement at Verdant Specialty Solutions, where he mainly focused on the development of hydrotrope and surfactant corrosion inhibitors for use in the metalworking industry, and has also previously worked at the API CDMO company Onyx Scientific as an intern. Currently, James is researching the optimisation of ortho-difluoromethylation reactions in flow with machine learning models, using data from prior experiments to expedite future, similar reactions.
